Unlike its predecessors, Tron: Ares doesn’t confine itself to the digital Grid. Instead, it explores the collision of real and digital worlds, with scenes of a colossal airship looming ominously above a modern city—its only visible features illuminated red stripes—while citizens look on in terror.

Directed by Joachim Rønning, the film features intense visuals and a more grounded tone. Familiar light trails and glowing environments return, but the aesthetic leans moodier, with Nine Inch Nails scoring the soundtrack to amplify the tension.
