NEON has confirmed that The Monkey, the latest horror adaptation based on Stephen King’s 1980 short story, will hit PVOD platforms on April 4, 2025, followed by a 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on June 24, 2025. The film is directed by Osgood Perkins and produced by James Wan, marking NEON’s second collaboration with Perkins after the success of Longlegs.

The Monkey follows twin brothers who discover a cursed wind-up monkey among their father’s belongings. Once activated, it triggers a chain of inexplicable deaths. Years later, the deadly toy returns, forcing the estranged brothers to confront their traumatic past. The film stars Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, Christian Convery, Colin O’Brien, Sarah Levy, Adam Scott, and Elijah Wood.
