RUMOR: SPIDER-MAN 4’s Main Villain Has Been Revealed…And They Just Appeared In KRAVEN THE HUNTER!

Another day, another Spider-Man 4 villain rumor. A new report suggests that the web-slinger will face off against a new Variant of The Chameleon, despite the character’s recent appearance in Kraven the Hunter.

According to The InSneider, this version of The Chameleon will not necessarily go by that name due to the character’s presence in Kraven the Hunter. Instead, it appears that Marvel Studios might be introducing a fresh take, possibly inspired by Lady Chameleon from Ultimate Spider-Man #13, where she was portrayed as the sister of the original Chameleon.

Previously, reports suggested that Spider-Man 4 would feature a female villain described as being in her 30s-50s, of any ethnicity, and possessing a strong, commanding screen presence. This new rumor could align with those details.

Fred Hechinger portrayed Dmitri Kravinoff (Chameleon) in Kraven the Hunter, depicted as the younger, weaker brother of Sergei Kravinoff (Kraven). Unlike traditional versions, he underwent a transformation courtesy of Dr. Miles Warren, making him a literal shapeshifter.

If this new Chameleon appears in Spider-Man 4, it is unlikely to have any ties to Sony Pictures’ Kraven the Hunter film, which was critically panned.

Additionally, speculation continues around the possible return of Shocker and Scorpion. When asked about Shocker’s absence since Spider-Man: Homecoming, actor Bokeem Woodbine hinted that his character might return in the future.

Spider-Man 4 is officially scheduled for release on July 31, 2026. The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), with a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
