‘Madame Web’ Takes Worst Picture at 2025 Razzie Awards, Earning Three Wins

The winners of the Golden Raspberry are named for 2024

The 2025 Razzie Awards have announced this year’s winners, highlighting the worst in cinema just ahead of the Academy Awards. Topping the list is Sony’s Madame Web, which took home three awards, including Worst Picture, Worst Actress for Dakota Johnson, and Worst Screenplay.

‘Madame Web’ Leads the Pack in Razzie Infamy

Madame Web, which was both a critical and box office disappointment, was widely expected to perform poorly at the Razzies. Lead actress Dakota Johnson has previously spoken about the film’s troubled production, revealing that the final script was drastically different from the one she initially signed on for.

Other Big “Winners” at the Razzies

Several films earned two awards each, including:

  • Joker: Folie à Deux – Worst Screen Combo (Joaquin Phoenix & Lady Gaga) and Worst Sequel
  • Unfrosted – Worst Actor (Jerry Seinfeld) and Worst Supporting Actress (Amy Schumer)
  • Megalopolis – Worst Director (Francis Ford Coppola) and Worst Supporting Actor (Jon Voight)

Notably, Francis Ford Coppola embraced his Razzie win, celebrating it as a defiant statement against mainstream Hollywood trends.

Pamela Anderson Wins the Razzie Redeemer Award

On a more positive note, Pamela Anderson was honored with the Razzie Redeemer Award, recognizing her career transformation from winning Worst New Star for Barb Wire in 1996 to receiving critical acclaim for The Last Showgirl.

The Razzies, determined by votes from over 1,200 members across 49 states and 24 countries, continue to serve as Hollywood’s satirical counterpoint to the Oscars, calling out the year’s most disappointing films.
