
Middle-earth is expanding once again as Jamie Campbell Bower and Eddie Marsan join the cast of Amazon Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power for its upcoming third season.
New Cast & Filming Details
Bower will take on a series regular role, while Marsan is set for a recurring part. The season is currently in pre-production, with filming set to begin this spring at Shepperton Studios in the U.K.
Familiar Faces in Fantasy & Action
Bower is best known for playing the chilling villain Vecna in Stranger Things and has also portrayed Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. His filmography includes Sweeney Todd, The Twilight Saga, and Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1.
Marsan, a veteran of both film and television, is known for his seven-season run in Showtime’s Ray Donovan and roles in Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, Sherlock Holmes, V for Vendetta, and Mission: Impossible 3.

As a prequel to The Lord of the Rings, The Rings of Power continues to explore Middle-earth’s Second Age. The series is helmed by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, with executive producers Lindsey Weber, Justin Doble, and Charlotte Brändström.
With fresh faces and new adventures ahead, Season 3 promises to deepen the epic saga of Middle-earth.
