Jessie Cave, best known for playing Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter films, has announced she is launching an OnlyFans account—dedicated to her hair.
The actor revealed the news on social media, explaining that she will be offering subscribers “the best quality hair sounds” and “very sensual stuff.” She emphasized that her content will not be sexual but instead aimed at those with a fascination for hair.
“I am launching an OnlyFans, it’s not a sexual one,” Cave clarified on her Before We Break Up Again podcast (via Entertainment Weekly). “It’s a fetish. Fetish doesn’t necessarily mean sexual.”
On her self-titled Substack, Cave shared further insight into her decision:
“One year. I’ll try for one year. My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof, etc. My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself. To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I’m not so sweet. To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love.”
Cave also reflected on her past experiences at Harry Potter conventions, jokingly questioning if they were “research” for this new venture.
“[It feels] like I’m doing something naughty, something a little fucked up. I like that. Ripping up the good little actress rule book.”
A New Chapter for the Actress
Cave made her Harry Potter debut in 2009’s Half-Blood Prince and reprised the role in both Deathly Hallows films. Beyond the Wizarding World, she has acted in Great Expectations, Black Mirror, and Industry, and even voiced Lavender Brown in two Harry Potter video games.
OnlyFans has become an increasingly popular platform for actors looking for alternative income streams. Last year, singer Lily Allen revealed that her OnlyFans account, where she posts pictures of her feet, generates more income than her Spotify music streams.
“Imagine being an artist and having nearly eight million monthly listeners on Spotify but earning more money from having 1,000 people subscribe to pictures of your feet,” Allen wrote on X. “Don’t hate the player, hate the game.”
Similarly, The Sopranos star Drea de Matteo credited OnlyFans with saving her home from foreclosure when her acting work dried up.
“It saved us,” De Matteo told Daily Mail at the time. “OnlyFans saved my life, 100 percent. I can’t believe I’m saying that, but it really did. Anybody that wants to condemn me and put me down, go for it. I just hope you never find yourself in the position I was in to take care of two little kids. It saved my home of many years that was very important to us.”
