Netflix Reignites Its Hit Mystery Franchise with a New Director
Netflix has officially announced the start of production for Enola Holmes 3, with Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Louis Partridge, and several other key cast members reprising their roles in the fan-favorite mystery franchise. This third installment will bring a new energy to the Victorian-era sleuthing saga as it introduces Philip Barantini as director, replacing Harry Bradbeer who helmed the first two films.
Barantini, known for his work on Netflix’s breakout success Adolescence, joins returning screenwriter Jack Thorne, who has penned all three Enola Holmes scripts. The series is based on Nancy Springer’s bestselling book series.
Enola’s Latest Case Takes Her to Malta
In Enola Holmes 3, the teenage detective will be pulled into her most complicated case yet — one that leads her to Malta, where her personal and professional worlds collide. Netflix describes the story as one that dives deeper into Enola’s growth while continuing to explore family dynamics, particularly her relationship with her famous brother, Sherlock Holmes.
